Mirrors, these days, reflect strange faces
growing stranger every day
The eyes blink back what remains
And worlds are swallowed whole
word by word
I inhabit a chaos not my own
Invisible and silent
I am not who I am
Nor the silence I profess
Nor the empty words
Whispered to the air
I have scrubbed off the anger and the pain
I have drained him out
from the deepest wells of blood
I have locked them out
What is it that remains.
erasing things can be incredibly hard

.... these lines give me knot in my stomach
Thanks, Suyash. And since we are talking about erasing, let me recommend you an incredible movie (and a personal favourite) - 'Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind'.
DeleteThose are some my favourite lines as well. :)
Something beautiful, wise and unique - YOU
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jae. :)
DeleteI don't know if this is the correct term, but I am a fan of your poetry. It is so engaging and stirring. And too many times I have nothing to comment, as I feel your words are so complete.
ReplyDeletewhoa... amazing lines... the last verse is soul stirring... :-)
