Let's talk about 'detours'
In substance as in abundance
As I try to delude
Your distrustful, course-committed heart
But I guess, tolerance wasn't ever your strong suit
And there isn't much that I can put into use
When you clearly look so amused
With the crowning glory of your untimely youth
Can this be the Devil's age-old ruse?
Don't mistake me as hopeful
But let's just take a moment
And talk about 'detours'
Shall we?

Dangerous detour??/
ReplyDeletePainful too. :)
DeleteWhat a great description - "your distrustful course-committed heart".....LOL.......I know people as stubborn as that wisdom tooth. That set of teeth looks even more painful than mine!!!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Yes, stubbornness is a shared trait between teeth and people. :)
Deletegotta love it when they are so full of themselves eh?
ReplyDeletei wouldnt waste a whole lot of time proving them otherwise
But when it comes to the wisdom tooth, you have to give in eventually. :)
DeleteBeing the recipient of a lack of tolerance can be just as uncomfortable, or even painful, as I would imagine that tooth to be! Yikes :-(
ReplyDeleteExactly! Well put. :)
DeleteDetours indeed.. Such people are as painful as a wisdom tooth.. Not much wisdom in that.
ReplyDeleteBut the tooth can give a lot more pain than people, eh?
Deletedetours indeed...ugh..
ReplyDeleteSome detours should/should not be taken. :)
DeleteGreat picture to go with the poem. Well written.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
DeleteTolerance for detours - a must. ~ Nice intelligent tone, pulling in rhythm ...so the tooth should go...
ReplyDeleteDetours can come in handy, but sometimes it's good to go 'straight'. :)
DeleteI think that when it comes to people who lack in tolerance, a great detour is wise.
ReplyDeleteBut in terms of tooth, I'd rather it not take any detour and grow 'straight' out as it is supposed to do. Haha.
Deletei know what you mean..sometimes you have to take a detour :)
ReplyDeleteI wish my tooth had not taken one. :(
DeleteLife is a series of detours...some good, some bad
ReplyDeleteMost of them being quite unexpected too. :)
DeleteNice thought.. poem and the image!
